Thanks for your comments, Jimbo. I have been really enjoying this series of POD's by my husband, all taken on our penultimate canoe trip in 2012. It was a wonderful trip with HoHo, David and Piwi, and allowed us to return to our favorite BWCA lake, Cherokee, one last time. That's our dear friend Bill, otherwise known as HoHo, silhouetted in the bright morning sun. And it is nice to have the POD comment thread restored, too.  |

I'm looking forward to testing your lures in Quetico in about 2 months, QP. I know they'll work on Smallies & walleyes but I'm betting there are a couple (one, in particular) that will fetch me lake trout. I'm anxious to find out & will let you know. Thinking back, I've spent two nights on Liz on more than one occasion. I know, it really looks boring and is a quick pass through... Therein lies the beauty of attention to detail. |

I've been thru Elizabeth several times but mostly as a pass thru & so haven't bothered fishing it. One exception: Did Walter -> Elizabeth -> Halliday -> Sturgeon once. Going the long way down Elizabeth with wind at our backs we trolled. I lost one of the biggest fish I think I've ever had on between the north and south shore campsite pair toward the eastern end. Go catch it! That was 1992 so it'll be bigger now! |
