Rivers End Cabins
Surrounded by lands of the Superior National Forest, the cabin
is nestled in a secluded bay on the banks of the beautiful North Kawishiwi
River and accessed by water only. (See
shuttle) The vertical log walls and white pine paneling softly shelter
you beneath towering aspen trees. Large windows provide a grand view
of the Kawishiwi's sparkling waters. Warmed by a southern exposure,
the spacious yard provides plenty of elbow room and ample opportunity
to stretch out and stroll about the woods. The only neighbors here are
wolves, moose, pine martin, otter and deer. Eagles soar overhead while
loons, ducks, herons and beaver share the river's waters with many species
of fish. From here you can paddle deep into the woods of the Boundary
Waters or visit Ely and dine in one of the fine establishments, then
visit the International Wolf Center, or the Dorothy Molter museum. Whatever
you choose, at the end of your fun filled day return to the cabin for
a relaxing evening campfire and a soak in the wood fired hot tub, all
the while being serenaded by the sounds of nature through a soft, northwoods
night. Sound Inviting?
