North Wilder to Hudson

Portage Description:
Be careful at this landing. It is one of the nice steep sloping slabs of rock and it is tough to get good footing. (would be worse with higher water)

The rest of the portage is flat and has a windfall or two to cross before you get to the muddy landing.

*WARNING*

Do not try this route in low water. A little ways from the portage you cross a beaver dam. If the water is low the creek dries up to nothing.(not even enough to float a canoe)

You then have to backtrack all the way to Lake Three or push, pull, drag and curse through the mud for the next mile and a half.
