Portage Description:
This portage is a bit swampy, especially as you get toward Tin Can Mike. The last quarter of the portage consists of a plank walkway constructed by the forest service. They hadn't yet been in to do maintenance, so most of the boards were either loose or about to break. Still, the walkway saves you from having to walk through knee-deep muck.
