Portage Description:
To find the portage to North Hegman and the picto, veer to the western bay. As you get close you will hear a small, but picturesque rapids. Land to the right of the rapids. It is an easy lift over to North Hegman, with lots of granite. Head north to the pictos. They are in the narrows, after you go around the large island. Most folks go to the right of the island, but either way will work. The pictos are on your left. As you continue past the pictos you will find shallow Trease and the delightful sound of more rapids. A great first experience or a nice week end trip.
