Portage Description:
From Shell to little Shell is a short walk down a rocky path that ends on Little. The Shell lake end starts in a shallow weedy bay with some boulders in the water. The Little shell lake end is rocky as well, but not too difficult to set a canoe in.

Lake after portage: Little Shell

Lake Description:

Little Shell lake has one campsite on the north side of the lake. The lake itself is a pretty lake with some exposed rock faces along shore. We didn't get a chance to check out the campsite, or fish much but did catch some small Smallmouth bass along shore. Be careful of the submerged boulders in the water in the opening of the bay to the lynx Lake portage. Water color in Little Shell was pretty clear.
